Summerfield is a 620-acre development on the eastern side of Erie, that will bring 2,144 housing units to town. The project is being developed in two phases. The first phase  of 818 lots, was approved in 2023, the second phase, which includes 1,201 lots, was proposed in 2025. In addition to housing, more than 1,000 of which will be “age-targeted,” the plans include trails, several “pocket parks,” and one neighborhood park.
