New duplex project, Penrose Place, planned for Frederick
FREDERICK — The Town of Frederick is poised to get an additional duplex community to mix up its housing stock with the addition of Penrose Place.
Landsea Homes has planned to build 76 duplexes and 34 single-family homes along Colorado Highway 52 and Ridgeway Boulevard to make up the Penrose Place planned unit development. The Frederick Board of Trustees approved the project in February after unanimous approval by the town planning commission.
According to a narrative filed by the developer, the property was annexed to town in 1976, and it was zoned R-2 Residential Medium Density in 2022 to allow for a future development of single-family and attached housing.
The entire 12.9-acre project faces Colo. 52. Because of that proximity to the high-volume highway, the project will have a 30-foot landscaped buffer to shield residents from noise. The property is just northeast of the edge of Dacono about a mile east of Colorado Boulevard and south of the Savannah subdivision.
